4 out of 5 stars Fun Game!   November 29, 2008
This was actually a fun game. Lacks graphical "polish" that the big name shooters have. Environments and textures could have been more detailed. But this game does deliver where it counts: guns that are very fun to shoot and monsters that are very fun to kill. I have to say the combat is better than most shooters nowadays. I thought Halo combat was fun. This is just as fun if not more! And now this game is cheap, so give it a try! Btw, it works on my system (Vista 64, nvidia 9800 GTS)

If you want a game where you feel extremely powerful, this is deffinetely it! This game pits you against hundreds of bugs, sometimes with help, sometimes without. The game always has you on your toes, and most the time never has a dull moment.

Pro's: Massive amount of killing, with some hard mobs thrown here and their. Variety of arsenal, and enemies, which you have to pair each other together to be the most effective. Very heart pounding.

Con's: Their are some rather pointless points, and overly lengthened. Sometimes your put against a really easy enemy, that takes forever to kill, which can create a very dull fight. Also some very pointless times, like a door is stuck, so you have to wait for a mechanic to come and fix it, no bugs attack, nothing for you to do, just stand around and wait, pretty pointless.

Overall: Very great game, deffinetely worth buying, and showing off to friend the amount of slaughter you can lay down. I would love to play the Multiplayer, but not enough people really play. I deffinetely suggest this game, specially for its price.

2 out of 5 stars my opinion   July 23, 2007
Starchip troopers broken down is simply a frist person shooter in another world. This was a bit of a let down in terrms of gameplay and possed few to no challenges, other than a low jump capabilities wich probabley is the only bit of realism in the game. (this comment form playing games that when in power armor allow you to jump higher and move faster)

The graphics of the game were over all well done as well as the "SWARM engine" the developers used was fun to watch. I would have to say that there were two things they could of done more on was fire and the people.

Other than this the condtion of the game it self was brand new.

1 out of 5 stars Fell out of the Ugly-Tree and Hit Every Branch On the Way Down   June 1, 2007

Bad. Grainy Video from the movie. Wooden voice acting. Ugly character models. Jaggy indoor areas that look like PS1 graphics. Hope you like primary colors! Ugly, flat looking bugs (sprites! so old it's new) who make annoying squeaks. Hundreds and hundreds of annoying squeaks.
I played it for a good 15 minutes, chuckled to myself and uninstalled it. To it's credit, there are some decent looking landscapes, and the Bugs swarm in a nice fashion... but the same could be said of a landfill.

No Me Gusta.

Sony picked up the film license and lost alot of money at the time... so I guess they didn't want any involvement in this title. Too bad. I really wanted to like it.
